  • 1913 Ruble 300th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty replica coin

Reproduction of a commemorative ruble coin that was originally minted in 1913 for the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty (1613-1913). The Romanov Tercentenary was highlighted by country-wide celebratory tour that followed Michael I Romanov's route through the towns of ancient Muscovy after he was elected in 1613. This was preceded by a week of receptions at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. The coin depicts the first Tsar of the second dynasty to rule Russia, Mikhail Romanov, aka Michael I, together with the last Tsar, Nicholas II. Michael is depicted in royal robes and a monomakh’s cap and Nicholas is depicted in the military uniform of the life guards of the fourth infantry regiment of the Imperial family. The reverse side of the coin features a crowned double headed royal eagle, a symbol of the Russian Empire. Read More about the Russian Double Headed Eagle.  M.A. Kerzin was the designer of the original coin that was minted in silver and was circulated as currency.

This replica casting is gold plated pewter. Actual size is 1¼" (32mm), a bit smaller than the original (34mm). Limited quantity. Comes attractively gift boxed. A great gift with historical value at an affordable price.
