Product Description
Cobalt Net Small Teapot. This fine porcelain small teapot is decorated in the classic Cobalt Net pattern and is the genuine article! In Russia, tea is usually served with the help of two teapots, one large and one small. This, the smaller teapot, would hold a strong brew, while the larger, 9-cup teapot would hold hot water. The two would be mixed together to make a cup of tea to taste. As Russians like to drink tea much of the day, a weaker brew is preferred.
Fully hand painted and decorated at the Imperial (Lomonosov) Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg, Russia. Not a Chinese knock-off! Mineral cobalt, 22Kt gold. Holds approximately 2½ cups comfortably. 7" width, 4¼" height. 1 left.
