Kirov "Uzor" (Узор) Matryoshka Doll. "Uzor" is a Russian word that means "patterned weaving". These dolls are alternately known as Kirov, Viatka or Nolinsk dolls. The dolls are from the "Territorial Production Association of the local industry and crafts of the Kirov Executive Committee to produce toys. Nolinsk Factory. Production Association "Viatka". Nolinsk is a town and the administrative center of Nolinsky District in Kirov Oblast (or Region), Russia, located on the Voya River, 143 kilometers south of Kirov, the administrative center of the oblast. A paper "Made in USSR" label is affixed to the bottom of the first doll. A purple "Made in USSR" is stamped on the bottom of the first doll. 10-nest doll is 6" tall and finishes with a doll the size of a tiny piece of rice. First doll has been in the sun and exhibits some color fading, the rest of the dolls are fine. Very good condition. Made in the mid-1980s.
