Joseph holds a lantern and the Mother of God stands before Her newborn Child in a reverent manner. The Child is in a manger. This is an exquisitely hand carved and delicately painted and lacquered Nativity scene. All pieces are carved and all pieces are lacquered. The pieces are moveable and can be easily stored for safe keeping. From Bogorodsk, Russia, early 2000s. Signed by the artist. 7" x 6" x 3 1/2". Joseph stands 4" tall.
