Unique and collectible The Russian Shop / Maison Russe 800-778-9404
Alexander Nevsky Russian Seasoning Set This "pride of the workshop" spice set was made with great expertise in Mstera, Russia about 25 years ago. The artistry is reminiscent of chain-mail armor worn by Russian warriors during the era of Alexander Nevsky (circa 1200). The tiny circles, each skillfully formed by hand, appear as if linked together in a mesh pattern. The gold-plated tops resemble medieval helmets. If you look closely, the openings are the eyes and the mouth of the warrior. The filigree is 100% silver over copper and the tray is silver plated brass. Each server has its own matching Russian made gold plated spoon. All in all, a most impressive piece of workmanship. The servers are 3 3/4" tall and the tray is 5 3/4" diameter. In excellent condition. Sold!
