These amazing Matryoshka dolls are all original creations and one-of-a-kind. Each is unique and a true keepsake. They are not, by any stretch of the imagination, standard tourist dolls sold throughout Russia, nor are they, (sad to say), the more disingenuous "decal" dolls that have been coming out of Russia for a number of years. Each piece is fully painted, using all the available space, including even the bottoms. Each is finished with several coats of crystal-clear lacquer. Each is signed by the artist, Tatiana Vzdorova, who lives in Rostov-on-the-Don, a medium-sized city about 500 miles south of Moscow.
