Hand Made "Petrograd"
Russian Filigree Tea Glass Holder
A Russian tea glass holder, or, as it's known in Russian, podstakannik, literally means "beneath the glass." It is a traditional way of serving and drinking Russia's national drink, hot tea. Our Petrograd style holders are plated in pure silver over copper filigree. A scalloped handle sets off the design. Each is hand made in the village of Mstera, renown for such delicate arts as lacework and miniature painting. Very fine work - you won't be disappointed by the quality. Included with each holder is a Russian-made standard glass. Holder with glass measures nearly 5" tall.
