10-pc Vintage Viatka "Uzor" Northern Maidens. Viatka "Uzor" Northern Maidens. "Uzor" is a Russian word that means "patterned weaving" and the hand-painted flowers on this traditional doll have some wonderful patterns in traditional colors of red, green and yellow. Viatka "Northern" Maidens came from the city of Viatka, formerly Kirov, in the Kirov oblast, or province. These were made in the Kirov Factory in the late 1980s. A paper "Made in USSR" label is affixed to the bottom of the first doll. 10 nested doll is 6¾" tall and finishes with a doll the size of a tiny piece of rice. Very good condition (light wear), photos show some glare artificats. We have one set only.
