Alexander Pushkin Monument Replica. The original, cast in bronze and mounted on granite, was designed by famous Soviet Russian sculptor Mikhail Konstantinovich Anikushin (1917-1997)(Михаил Константинович Аникушин). He began work on it in the early 1950's and it was only in 1957 that it was unveiled. It currently takes up residence in front of the State Russian Museum on the Ploshchad Iskusstv (Arts Square). Metal casting, 14" in height, on a dark Bakelite base. Overall very good with most of the wear to the base. 1 only.
