Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910) wrote two of the greatest novels of the nineteenth century and this is one of them. The introduction of this edition gives the ending away, so if you don't know it, then skip it until the end. A character list with names and relationships of the main characters plus notes with details regarding Russian society and history.
