The Leningrad Plant of Porcelain Products- LZFI (Ленинградский завод фарфоровых изделий - ЛЗФИ. The relatively new porcelain factory began in 1947 as "Elektropribor" and manufactured "technical" porcelain. In 1952 it became the Pilot plant "Porcelain" at the State Research Ceramic Institute (GIKI). From 1956 to 1967 it was the Leningrad porcelain factory GUMP of the City Executive Committee. It's output had shifted earlier to artistic porcelain, including elegant and charming figures. After 1967 it produced mostly dishes, but didn't abandon artistic production completely. Although overall output never compared to the largest enterprises, such as Lomonosov, Dulevo or Gzhel, LZFI production is today highly sought after.
