Leo Tolstoy. Childhood, Boyhood, Youth. Penguin Classics, 1964. 1st printing, 329 pages.Solidly bound copy with very little external wear, crisp pages and clean text. Very well preserved. Name of previous owner on first page.
The book consists of all three volumes of Tolstoy's "Autobiographical Trilogy", written between the years 1852-1856. He was just 23 when the first volume was published and it was an immediate success. Thus embarked on his literary career, he never looked back (except, of course, to write and publish the other two autobiographical volumes).
