Accordionist with dancing girl-quadrille (Гармонист с девушкой-кадриль). Also known as "Ural Quadrille ("Уральская кадриль"). Dulevo (Дулево) Porcelain Works, 1960s. The sculptor N.A. Malysheva designed this piece in 1956. A very naturalistic and collectible hand painted overglaze porcelain and gilded sculpture in excellent condition.  The Quadrille is a late 18th-early 19th century dance consisting of six contredanses (a French form of country dance), executed generally by four couples in a rectangular formation. Also, the name for the music of this dance. Clearly marked with the Dulevo backstamp. 6"x 3¼".  1 only, as shown. Book price for this piece is in the range of $300-$400 for the original.

Dulevo (sometimes Dulyovo) Porcelain Works (Дулевскй фарфоровый завод) is one of the most famous Russian (and former Soviet) porcelain manufacturers. The works were founded in the Dulevo wasteland (now Likino-Dulevo) in 1832 by famed Russian merchant Terenti Kuznetsov (Теренти Кузнецов).
