Santa Claus (Санта Клаус) Roly Poly Chime Doll. A mellifluous chime sound is emitted from this detailed traditional Christmas theme roly poly. These have many different names, including "nevalyashka"(неваляшка), "vanka-vstanka" (ванька-встанька) and the descriptive roly-poly chime doll. Lots of nice painted enhancements including potal decoration ("поталь" is a form of gold foil decoration that imitates gilding), a clock, a snowman, a Christmas tree, a teddy bear, a ring toy. Hand made and hand painted in Sergiev Posad about 25 years ago.
In excellent condition, signed with initials by the artist and Россия (Russia). 4¼" in height, 4" across at the base. 1 only.
