Magnificent frescoes by renown artist Victor Vasnetsov, over 10 feet tall, adorn the St. Vladimir Cathedral in Kiev, Sparing no expense the cathedral was built in the late 19th century to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the baptizing of Russia. Here's a very fine (and very much smaller) copy of St. Evdokia (or Euphrosyne), executed in oils by Russian artist I. Shepel. St Evdokia (d. 1407) was a builder of churches.
