September Teacup and Saucer

September (Сентябрь) Cup and Saucer. A trait of the porcelain designers at the Lomonosov Factory was to incorporate nature themes and designs. This delicately hand painted cup and saucer set blends ochre, green and sienna with gold enhancements for the leaves. A band of gold rims the inside of the tea cup and a milky white porcelain ground sets off this exquisite pattern. An uncommon cup and saucer not easily found. Made at the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, in St. Petersburg, Russia. 2¾" tall by 3½" diameter (cup) and 5¾" (saucer).
