Milashechka from Tver (Милашечка из Твери). This cute matryoshka, whose name translated in English means "sweetheart" came from Tver, a historical city situated on the Upper Volga River 110 miles NW of Moscow. She is made from a somewhat thicker wood with many decorative elements which are both painted and burnt in with a poker. The colors are bright and the paint thickly applied. Faces are happy and playful. Circa late 1980's. 6 nest, from 4" down to 1". 1 only, as shown.
