The Firebird (Жар-птица). Prince Ivan presents the Firebird to the Tsar. The magnificent Firebird is displayed by Ivan to Tsar Berendey. The apple tree in the orchard is visible in the background and glowing embers from the tail of the bird are scattered about the floor. Colorful egg tempera on papier-mache and finished with clear lacquer. Attached with classic safety pin embedded into the back. Mstera (unsigned), circa 1985. 2½" x 1¾". 1 only, as shown. Gift boxed.
