Vintage Bochyonok Khokhloma Canister (Бочонок)

Vintage Bochyonok (Бочонок). This small barrel shaped covered jar is a traditional container for storing dry food, such as tea or dried herbs. Background pattern is the kudrina and grass (фон, кудрина, травка) style of decoration. Fully hand made around 1980 at the Семинская фабрика "Хохломский художник" (Seminsk Fabrika "Khokhlomskiy khudozhnik"). Partial paper label on the bottom. About fine condition. 3¼" in height, 4¼" diameter.
