Wide-Mouthed Khokhloma Vase

Wide-Mouthed Khokhloma Vase. Elegantly decorated in the "travka" (grass) style of ornamentation. Grass blades, curled twigs, broad leaves and strawberries and lingonberries. Traditional colors of red, black and green on a bright gold background. Display well from any side. This nicely turned vase has a wide opening and a red painted foot. Probably Semenov Factory "Хохломская роспись". 1970's or 1980's. Paper label on the bottom missing. 5¾" in height, 4¼" in diameter. In about fine condition. 1 only.
