Product Description
Zaporozhye Cossack (Запорожский казак). A matryoshka with uncommon high relief texture added via mixed media. The first doll has a raised pipe, forelocks, earring and braid as well as a ladybug. The other dolls all have some raised texture, including traditional head wear, a mustache on the second doll, and silver crosses on all four.
Hand made, painted, and in excellent condition. Moscow, 1993. Signed by the artist (Popov). 6" down to 2". 1 only, as shown.
