Inscriptions include "St. Nicholas the Wonderworker", "Jesus Christ" and "Mother of God".   • Antique carved toy set of the monastery at Sergiev Posad. Circa 1890-1910. Wooden toys were made in the Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions by professional craftspeople, espcially those connected with the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the largest spiritual and cultural center of Russia. In the 1880s, there were over 300 toy workshops, most of which produced molded toys and wooden carved toys by carpenters and turners. The most famous toy from Sergiev was the matryoshka nesting doll. The number of workshops shrunk over time as cheaper, mass-produced toys were imported. 

30 individual painted pieces, including fences, towers, house, entrance gate, buildings, cupolas, etc. House in a custom storage box with a cameo carving on the top. All pieces and paint is original. No restoration has been done.

  • A silver kopek issued during the 32-year reign of Michael Fyodorovich Romanov - . He was the first Russian Tsar from the House of Romanov and reigned from 1613-1645.. The irregularly shaped coins were struck by taking silver wire, cutting pieces down to the proper weight, and hammered between dies.  Wire money appeared in Russia in the middle of the 14th century and became the official currency.  From 1462 the hammered coins named dengas had an image of a horseman on the obverse and the Tsar's name and titles on the reverse in old Russian script.
