Autumn Sunset (Осенний закат). The "dessin de paysage" focuses on the beauty of a glowing setting sun in an open glade in the forest. Delicate miniature oil painting on papier-mache. The piece simply glimmers as the shades of orange and gold play against the dark trees. The photo does little justice to the piece in real life. It will definitely attract attention! By an unknown Fedoskino artist as this piece has no markings. Circa late 1980's or early 1990's. Materials used are oil paints, lacquer, metallic powders, a melchior bezel setting with a pinback.
