Cobalt Frieze Compote, or Candy Dish. The glamour of Cobalt Frieze reflects the high regard in which Classicism was held in Russian porcelain manufactory. It was here that restrained naturalism and formal classical beauty forged the ideal traditions of Empire china.
This version of the venerable, since discontinued, pattern uses 22Kt gold enhancements and cobalt blue on a milky white background (pictures don't do the white justice). Blue Lomonosov export mark circa 2005. Approximately 3¾" in height and ½" diameter. 1 only. [Brand new, old stock].
