Country Estate Fedoskino Lacquer Box

Country Estate (Загородное поместье). Fedoskino. Signed by the artist, P. Fedorov, and dated 1982. Elegantly painted view of a river and a stone bridge. In the distance are several houses. The artist has used golden flakes liberally throughout to create a shimmering landscape. Gold border decoration. Medium-sized hinged papier-mache box with button feet, oils paints, metallic powders, lacquer. "Made in USSR" on the bottom of the box along with an identifying code.
