Product Description
Жизнь В Церкви (Life in the Church). Издание св. Покровской Православной Общины Чикаго. The Russian Orthodox Church in Chicago began in a two-story house on 2141 West Pierce Avenue in 1949, under the auspices of Archpriest Vladimir Glindski. A makeshift church was set up on the first floor, the second floor became the rectory and there was a small kitchen.
Scarce (or rare) 18-page typed and stapled booklet newsletter from 1953 with two actual photos tipped in of the church and icons. In Russian. Color cover (actually two of the same covers, as one is directly underneath the first). Some shmutz on the back cover and edge wear. Overall very good. 1 only,
