Из Рога Много (Much Comes From the Horn). A Belarusian folk tale about an old man, to whom a human-speaking crane gave a magical and valuable gift of a decorated silver horn (рог). With this horn, the old man can summon all that he desires and wishes for. A variation on the Aladdin folk tale, as well as the Magic Fish folk tale.
This hand made painted wooden panel was made at the Zhlobin Art Inlay Factory (Жлобинская Фабрика Художественной Инкрустации). Zhlobin (Злобін) is a city on the Dnieper river near Minsk. Made in 1974 when Belarus was officially a part of the Soviet Union. USSR label. About fine, some marks of age, painting is near fine. 11½" x 12¾". 1 only.
The Zhlobin factory produced boxes and wall hangings with straw inlay, chess and checkers, and other souvenir products as well as household goods, such as cutting boards, trays, kitchen sets and bread boxes.
