Product Description
"Rose" (Роза) Round Box. Russian filigree boxes were made by hand and not a machine. This elegant round box is an outstanding example of filigree design and craftsmanship as perfected during the days of Catherine the Great, and can be used for potpourri. The pattern is reminiscent of bobbin-lace, decorated throughout with tiny seed pearls and dipped in near pure (99.9%) silver. Hand-crafted in Kazakavo, near Nihzny Novgorod (formerly the city of Gorky). 4"x 1¼". Comes in its own (retro Soviet-style) custom-fitted box.
A beautiful compliment to our Petrograd silver filigree teaglass holder.
