Product Description
Zagorsk (Загорск) Maidens were made in the 1970s through the late 1980s in "Zagorsk Toy Factory No. 1". This attractive 9 nest is in well-preserved, about fine, condition and isn't suffering from the all-too-common flaking and chipping that plagues this style of doll. The state of preservation on this set is remarkable. Colors are bright and all pieces fit together well. Handmade and painted. 7" down to ¾" down. 1 only.
In 1929, the "kustar" artels unified into the "Sergiev Artisanal Industrial Artel" (Сергиевская кустарная промышленная артель). In 1930 the city was renamed Zagorsk and the artel was named “Zagorskaya”, and a little later "The Worker - Peasant Red Army" (имени Рабоче - Крестьянской Красной Армии). In 1960 "Red Army" becomes a state-owned enterprise and became "Zagorsk Toy Factory No. 1" (Загорская фабрика игрушек №1). In 1992, after privatization, the factory became the Artistic Products and Toys LLP, and in 1998 - Artistic Products and Toys CJSC. In 2014 it became LLC "Art products and toys."
