Bunin, L. Andreev, P. Yartsev, V. Bryusov, and other contemporaries of the author, are profiled. Boris Konstantinovich Zaitsev (1881-1972) was one of the last major figures of the Silver Age. After contracting typhoid fever in 1922, he received permission to travel abroad with his family for treatment. In the 1930s, Boris Zaitsev was one of the most respected writers of the "older" generation of emigration.
