Andrey Petrovich Kiselev (Андрей Петрович Киселев). Elementary Geometry for Secondary Schools (Элементарная Геометрия для Средних Учебных Заведения). A. P. Kiselev (1852-1940) was a Russian and Soviet teacher, and a “legislator” of school mathematics. He is best known for this textbook ("Elementary Geometry"), the first edition of which was published in 1892. It was a classic and used by tens and hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren in USSR and Russia, in use until 1938, was then revised by the mathematician and teacher N. A. Glagolev, which received official approval as the only textbook on geometry, and existed without any changes as generally accepted until 1956, when the school mathematics curriculum underwent changes.
This is a 1919 reprint by émigré NY Bookstore "M. N. Maisel". 389 pages. In Russian and in the old orthography. Red cloth hardcover, some stains to covers, edges and corners worn, former ownership stamp, some pull at gutters of the book, overall good. 1 copy only.
