Faberge Serpent Clock Egg. A royal purple replica enamel egg of the original blue enamel egg, which was presented by Nicholas II to his mother, Maria Feodorovna, on Easter day, 1895. It features a "cercles tournants" (revolving dial) urn clock in the Louis XVI style with a snake to indicate the time. Currently, the original is owned by Prince Albert II, Prince Rainier III's son, and held in Monaco.
5¾" in height, 2" square base, slightly over 1 pound. Top half removes completely. 1 only.
