Sergiev Posad "Churches" Matryoshka. Elegant vintage doll with lots of detail in a small space. Wood burnt outlines of several ancient Russian church towns, including Sergiev Posad (Сергиев Посад), Uglich (Углич), Kostroma (Кострома), and two smaller, unnamed ones. The faces are especially well done, which indicates an accomplished artist. Made in Sergiev Posad, circa 1995-99. 3½" to ⅝". Fine condition. 1 only, as shown.
