Russian Orthodox Wall Cross. Entirely made by hand, beginning with the finely painted center medallion which portrays Golgotha in the classical style. Depicted are the instruments of the Passion with accompanying inscriptions in Slavonic and surrounded by a glittering radiant depiction of glory. The pine cross has been hand rubbed with finishing oil which imparts a smooth luster to the piece. About 11 x 5½ inches. Made in Russia exclusively for Maison Russe.
