Product Description
Attributed to the Factory of the Vorontsov Brothers, Tula (second half of the 19th century.) The brothers owned two large factories in Tula, one belonging to Vorontsov Brothers, the other to Vorontsov Heirs. The staff of the factories amounted to about 300 workmen. Classic lines and details. Wooden handles and knobs. About 22 inches tall. 12 inch diameter.
Overall condition is very good, no dents. Warm golden brass has not been cleaned and has some minor age spotting. Inside has the usual calcium deposit that use of hard water leaves behind. It appears to have been well used. The burn chamber plate is broken off (photograph shows where it would be) - it would need restoration for this samovar to be fired up again. The oval brass tray is 16 x 12 inches. It is older, but not an antique.
NOTE: $69 flat rate UPS shipping to US address applys. We cannot ship this samovar for free. No international shipping.
