Product Description
Cutting Board (Доска разделочная). Done in the Khokhloma style, highlighting the friendly half-bird, half-human creature, who is Alkonost, and akin to the Sirin. Basically, two sides of the same coin. They lived on the Island of Buyan and were distinguished by their beautiful voices. According to folk tales, at the morning of the Apple Feast of the Saviour day, the Sirin enters an apple orchard and sadly cries. In the afternoon, her counterpart, the Alkonost, enters and rejoices and laughs. Alkonost brushes dew from her wings, granting healing powers to all the fruits near her.
