Gilbey's Vodka Pub Jug. This is a classic collectible, and probably, promotional pitcher made in the form of a cossack. It displays striking black and red color on milk-white ceramic. The jug is approximately 6½" in height and about the same at the base. In about fine used condition, no chips, cracks, etc. 1 only.

On the bottom of the pitcher: "Vodka 80 proof Dist. from 100% grain. W&A Gilbey Cinn. O. Dist. by Nat'l Dist. Prod. Co." Gilbey's was founded in 1857, and was once the largest wine and spirits company in the United Kingdom. It was a family company run by three brothers, Walter, Alfred and Henry along with other male family members.
