Polkhovsky Maidan "Coquette" Matryoshka (Полховский Майдан «Кокетка» Матрешка). In our experience, among almost all of the classic Polkhovsky Maidan dolls we've encountered, a matryoshka with a flirtatious head tilt like this one, is uncommon. Additionally, it has an unusual pear-shape, probably due to what the artist was given with to paint. Note that there is no long braid, a hallmark of Polkh and Krutets. This one was not intended, most likely, for export, but was sold in the markets in Moscow in the early 1990s.
