Vladimir Pimenovich Krymov (1878-1968) was born in Dinaburg (Latvia - today Daugavpils). He was a writer, entrepreneur, publisher, and the commercial director of Suvorin's newspaper "Novoye Vremya". He published the illustrated magazine Stolitsa i Usadba (Capital and Estate). In 1933, he moved to France, where, in exile, he became popular as an author. He even became the prototype of Paramon Ilyich Korzukhin in Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "The Flight". Before the title page, there is a message from the author, informing about the small print run of this and his other books.
