Imperial Russian Boyar Figure. Beautifully detailed and painted carved figure of a boyar in the costume of the 17th century of Imperial Russia. Gold pattern ornate embroidered overcoat with high collar, red sash belt and red boots, and fur papakha are all lovingly recreated. Head swivels and arms are poseable. Everything is wood, including shashka (saber), which can be placed into the right hand of the figure.
