Mother of God “Blesser of the Harvest” or "Enhancer of the Grain Harvest" (Спорительница Хлебов). This icon has many names besides these two. She is the "Multiplier of Wheat", "Success of the Harvest" and "Ripener of Grain". She is a relatively recent icon that was commissioned by Ambrose of Optina (1812-1891), a gift for the Shamordino women’s monastery, which he had founded. The icon shows the Theotokos sitting enthroned on a cloud above a partly-harvested field of wheat and praying with outstretched arms. 6"x 8". Painted in Russia. One only.
