"Dew Drop" (Росинка) Box. This elegant Russian box was made by hand, not by a machine. It is an extraordinary example of filigree design and craftsmanship as was perfected back in the days of Catherine the Great (1762-1796). The pattern is reminiscent of bobbin-lace. It is decorated with tiny seed pearls and capped with a rosette on the lid.  Hand-crafted in the small village of Kazakovo, near Nihzny Novgorod (formerly the city of Gorky). Size is 3"x2"x1¼". A beautiful complement to our  Russian Tea Glass Holders.
