Купеческая дочь"), "Merchant's Wife Drinking Tea" ("Купчиха, пьющая чай), the last another popular theme of his. Other works depicted here include theatre costume sketches, book illustrations, and prints.
Moscow: Progress Publishers, 1981. 211 pages, 165 illustrations, many in color. Hardcover, pictorial covers. Store stickers on back cover. Some spine wear and corner bumping. Overall very good, no ownership marks. 1 copy only.
Note: this is a high-quality printing featuring one of Russia's beloved painters, is in English, and was targeted to the Western market. Oddly enough, no indication is anywhere in the book as to where it was printed, due, no doubt, to the practically non-existent number of 4-color printing presses in the USSR at that time.
