Icon of the Mother of God "Hodigitria" (Икона Божьей Матери "Одигитрия".) This is a beautiful hand painted icon on a small wooden Easter egg. (Note: white spot in the picture is NOT on the egg - it's in perfect condition.)
The painted image and enhancements are extraordinary and the iconographer, A. Tkachev, is well-known in Russia, having been commissioned to do work of the highest quality. Painted on solid wood with gold detailing, scrollwork, and polished to a mirror-like finish with crystal-clear lacquer. The back of the egg is decorated with scrollwork and the egg is placed on a custom-made stand. 6" in height with stand. 1 only.
