The style of Jacqueline Onassis (Kennedy) style meets Russia. A history in pictures of the fashion and accessories, such as gloves, lace, hats, pins, that Russian noble aristocracy wore from the times of Peter The Great through Alexander III (from 1682 to 1894). Chronicles authentic period pieces paired and photographed with contemporaneous art and furniture. Onassis drew together objects from public and private collections, and her research included visits to the great museums and palaces while the Soviets were still in power. Onassis was the prime mover of the exhibition and subsequent book. This was one of Jacqueline Onassis's first editorial undertakings for Viking.
