Exquisitely carved wooden sculptures, toys and figures come from the ancient settlement of Bogorodskoye. Some of the toys are activated by a push-button action, others by a swinging ball. Here you will find mostly vintage and collectible carvings, prized by young and old alike.
The most familiar Bogorodskoye carving is "Misha" the Bear. Wood carvers have depicted him in a wide range of themes and subjects. Bogorodskoye was known as Медвежий угол (Bear Corner) because of the thick woods surrounding it.
